Research topics
- Protein mediated translational control in bacteria
- RNA dependent regulation in Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli
- RNA-protein interactions, RNA structure/function relationships
- Translation initiation in bacteria
Role in NetRNA
The group of Pascale Romby will contribute knowledge and experience in structure-function studies on regulatory RNAs in bacteria to the project. The group will analyze the role of novel ncRNAs in gene expression in S. aureus, elucidate their primary targets, the regulatory mechanisms at the molecular level, and their involvement in establishing S. aureus pathogenicity. Regulatory networks involving ncRNAs and regulatory proteins will be generated from the data and their dynamics will be study in single-cell.
